WINNIPEG – Conor Geekie scored twice, Zack Ostapchuk and Evan Friesen each had a goal and two assists and the Winnipeg Ice pummelled the Calgary Hitmen 8-2 on Wednesday.
Connor McClennon, Ty Nash, Owen Pederson and Vladislav Shilo provided the rest of the offence for Winnipeg (38-7-1). Daniel Hauser made 22 saves.
Carter Yakemchuk and David Adaszynski replied for Calgary (23-20-5-2), which has lost seven in a row.
Ethan Buenaventura stopped 27-of-35 shots.

WARRIORS 6 OIL KINGS 3
MOOSE JAW, SASK. – Jagger Firkus had a hat trick to help power the Moose Jaw Warriors past the Edmonton Oil Kings 6-3.
Atley Calvert, Brayden Yager and Logan Dowhaniuk added the others for Moose Jaw (33-16-0-3), which won its third in a row.
Loick Daigle, Gavin Hodnett and Mason Finley answered for Edmonton (8-39-3).

COUGARS 7 ROCKETS 2
PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. – Chase Wheatcroft had two goals and an assist as the Prince George Cougars cruised past the Kelowna Rockets 7-2.
Cayden Glover, Koehn Ziemmer, Zac Funk, Jaxsen Wiebe and Hudson Thornton also contributed goals for Prince George (23-21-4), which won its fourth straight.
Adam Kydd and Ethan Mittelsteadt replied for Kelowna (17-28-3).
