WEDNESDAY RUNDOWN: SPORTS TALK WITH MARK STEPHEN

- RP and Moose Dupont kicked things off with The Warmup covering these Quick Six show topics: 1) Tuesday NHL leftovers including wins by the Canucks, Canadiens and Oilers, and losses for the Jets, Flames and Senators, 2) Rod’s NHL Top 5 are BOS – VGK – NJD – TOR – CAR and the Bottom 5 are MTL – PHI – CHI – CBJ – SJ, 3) Canada shutout Columbia 5-0 at the World Baseball Classic, 4) QB Baker Mayfield signs with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and news of Aaron Rodgers’ future is imminent, 5) In the NBA, the Raptors held off Denver 125-110, and 6) Randoms including NHL GM meetings, and NLL trade between the Rush and Fire Wolves, and March Madness.
- Calgary Stampeders Voice and longtime Calgary sportscaster Mark Stephen joined us live at the Stage Bar to discuss all of these topics and more. Regarding the Flames arena situation, CFL Maritime expansion and Aaron Rodgers, Mark felt it was all talk and no action until we see something concrete. Stephen predicted the Flames will miss the playoffs, discussed the NHL future of Connor Bedard, previewed the CFL West and a whole lot more.
- The daily Capital Auto Mall/Universal Collision Centre poll question was: Which Landmark Cinemas flick should RP take in Wednesday night – Avatar, Scream VI, Cocaine Bear or Creed III? At press time, Cocaine Bear was leading.
