Wednesday was a big day in sports and we tackled it all on Episode #910 of The RP Show – Daytime Sports Talk – on Game+ TV, YouTube Live and WQEE Radio. Here’s the rundown!:

  • RP and Moose Dupont kicked things off with The Warmup covering these Quick Six show topics: 1) It’s Semifinal Day at the World Juniors with Czechia versus Sweden and Canada taking on the USA. The panel predicted the Czecks and Canucks to advance, 2) NHL leftovers including all seven Canadian teams in action, 3) Rod’s NHL Top 5 this week are – BOS – CAR – VGK – TOR – WPG while the Bottom 5 are ARZ – SJ – CBJ – ANA – CHI, 4) Damar Hamlin’s family is optimistic about his recovery but the Bills safety’s status hasn’t changed, 5) It’s Round 2 of our NHL Reverse Retro Jersey Bracket, and 6) Randoms including WHL, OHL & QMJHL talk.
  • Popular Anaheim Ducks podcaster Sweet Annie O’Donnell joined the show to discuss the struggling Ducks and she can’t put a finger on why the bottom fell out this year. We’re not at the halfway point but she feels the playoffs are toast. She gave an update on Team Canada star Mason McTavish’s rookie season in Anaheim and said the future is very bright for the team!
  • The daily Capital Auto Mall/Universal Collision Centre poll question was a kickoff to Round 2 of our jersey bracket pitting Florida up against Pittsburgh. At press time, the Panthers had over 70% of the vote.
  • In Hour 2 we were joined by Canada’s foremost NFL expert Jim Lang who offered what he knew about the Damar Hamlin situation, and what went into the NFL’s decision to call Monday’s game. The panel and viewers debated what the NFL will do next. Jim then previewed this weekend’s biggest NFL games on the final weekend of the regular season, and examined the turnaround of the Green Bay Packers.
  • Tuesday’s Rockstar of the Day was Winnipeg ICE broadcaster Brian Munz. Wednesday’s was Sweet Annie!
