It was a BC Lions special on Wednesday’s Rod Pedersen Show. Thanks to Vancouver’s pro football team for making it such a success!

Here are the highlights:

  • Rod and Darren Dupont kicked off the show with The Warmup, discussing why Rod thinks Saskatchewan will win at Ottawa Thursday night. Darren reserved his prediction until game day. They also went over the Riders’ roster changes in Week 2.
  • The pair was joined by Michelle Shaw of Uniglobe Action Travel and they announced the inaugural Rod Pedersen VIP Sports Trip to Houston, Texas Dec. 5-10. The trip is on sale now and features a Texans-Broncos NFL game as well as two live shows on location. You can find more info or reserve your seats at www.rodpedersen.com/trip.
  • CTV/TSN sideline reporter Claire Hannah was in the bunker discussing her background in sports television and detailed the ins and outs of being a CFL sideline reporter. She also discussed her perceived rift with former Riders GM/Head Coach Chris Jones last season.
  • Lions great Travis Lulay joined the program from the Lions practice facility and offered his thoughts on his post-retirement role in BC and also offered some advice for Zach Collaros.
  • Lions and Riders great Geroy Simon joined the show as well and talked about his role in the Lions personnel department, a preview of Canada’s Game of the Week (BC at Edmonton) and the buzz in the Lower Mainland regarding the new-look Lions under GM Ed Hervey and Head Coach DeVone Claybrooks.
