WEEK 12 NFL PICKS FROM THE SPORTS DOCTOR FOR FOUR SEASONS
Last week I went 10-4 (110-50) and 9-5 (88-72) against the spread.
Cleveland Browns (0-10) at Cincinnati Bengals (4-6)
Line: Bengals by 8
Cleveland may actually win a game this season, but it won’t be in Cincinnati. Take the Bengals to win and cover.
Chicago Bears (3-7) at Philadelphia Eagles (9-1)
Line: Eagles by 13.5
Philly has scored at least 33 points in four consecutive games and have won by 10 in all of them. This one will be easy. Take the Eagles to win and cover.
Miami Dolphins (4-6) at New England Patriots (8-2)
Line: Patriots by 16.5
Even with one of the worst defenses in the NFL, the Brady Bunch continue to win. Not that they need a defense to beat Miami, but 16 ½ is a big spread. Take the Patriots to win but not cover.
Buffalo Bills (5-5) at Kansas City Chiefs (6-4)
Line: Chiefs by 10
How do you bounce back from an embarrassing loss to the Giants? Play the Bills at home. Take the Chiefs to win and cover.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-6) at Atlanta Falcons (6-4)
Line: Falcons by 10
Tampa Bay may seem to be rolling, but now they face a team that wants to win back to back NFC South titles on the road. Take the Falcons to win and cover.
Carolina Panthers (7-3) at New York Jets (4-6)
Line: Panthers by 4.5
One hope that the Panthers spent their bye week planning for Week 12 not Week 13 against the Saints. Take the Panthers to win and cover.
Tennessee Titans (6-4) at Indianapolis Colts (3-7)
Line: Titans by 3.5
Titans defense was exposed last week, but they should be able to fix things up on the road against a terrible Colts team. Take the Titans to win and cover.
Seattle Seahawks (6-4) at San Francisco 49ers (1-9)
Line: Seahawks by 7
Seattle needs this one bad to stay in the playoff picture, but they must fix their beat up secondary and dopey coaching decisions. They’ll squeak one out on the road. Take the Seahawks to win but not cover.
New Orleans Saints (8-2) at Los Angeles Rams (7-3)
Line: Rams by 2.5
This is my game of the week. I take the experience of Drew Brees anyday in this match up. Take the Saints in an upset.
Jacksonville Jaguars (7-3) at Arizona Cardinals (4-6)
Line: Jaguars by 5
Jacksonville possesses the league’s top-ranked overall defense and top-ranked passing defense, allowing just 182 yards through the air per game. Surprised Vegas has this as only a 5 point spread. Take the jaguars to win and cover.
Denver Broncos (3-7) at Oakland Raiders (4-6)
Line: Raiders by 5
Denver is a mess, so this will be the chance Oakland needs to “right the ship”. Take the Raiders to win and cover.
Green Bay Packers (5-5) at Pittsburgh Steelers (8-2)
Line: Steelers by 14
No Aaron Rodgers and being in Steeltown spells doom for the Cheese Heads. Take the Steelers to win and cover.
Houston Texans (4-6) at Baltimore Ravens (5-5)
Line: Ravens by 7
Baltimore is playing in their first home game of the month and should easily dispose of the weaponless Texans. Take the Ravens to win and cover.
