WHEAT KINGS 6 PATS 1
REGINA — The Regina Pats raised their 2014 division pennant Saturday evening in their home-opener but unfortunately that was the highlight of the night.
Jesse Gabriel scored three times for the Brandon Wheat Kings as they routed the Pats 6-1 Saturday night to sweep their season-opening home-and-home series.
Brandon outshot the Pats 35-24 as Daniel Wapple took the loss in the Regina goal. Brandon was 4/9 on the powerplay while the Pats were 1/3. Regina rookie Sam Steel had an assist in the loss, giving him two assists in the Pats’ two opening games. Dryden Hunt scored Regina’s lone goal.

I guess that ends the Pats Memorial Cup run. go Warriors
the group headbutt was great
Just in by Keith Urban, " IT'S GOING TO BE A LONG COLD WINTER". Pats are like Bantam players at best on the ice against the WheatKings. I am going to go out on a limb and predict a 20 win season at best.
Sam
Same old pats with the same results. Tied with saskatoon for the basement.
2 games in you guys.
If you roll those four lines out night after night 20 wins might be optimistic. Minimal speed, zero toughness, poorly constructed team, rookie owners and rookie HC/GM. It isn't shaping up very well at all. At least Cameron and Dixon got us a pennant but also got fired for bringing us the pennant raising last night. Owners who interfere with hockey operations are usually doomed to failure. Nobody more disinterested than Paddock last night. looked like he was getting an anima all game long.
It's a new young team with new owners and new coaches. How can you say it's the same old team. It's going to be a transition year. The future looks bright. Have some faith people.
why is it that when the team is successful, the ticket prices go up and stay up, but when they stink it up the ticket prices never go down?
Disappointed I spent $40 on that lack of effort and to hear that it's probably a transition year? Attending more games for me…No thanks.
Ticket prices are exactly the same as last year. I know because I sell them.
Talk about fickle fans. It's going to take awhile to change the culture and implement a change of direction.
The Pats are probably 25-30 win team this year but the real look at the organization's path will come at this year's trade deadline.
Are they improving? Will they move Klimchuk if they aren't in a position to win?
Give it time people.
LMFAO….."Owners who interfere with hockey operations are usually doomed to failure. Nobody more disinterested than Paddock last night. looked like he was getting an anima all game long"…..whats an anima??????
