WHEAT KINGS 6 PATS 3
Brandon, Manitoba – The Regina Pats’ losing streak hit five games Sunday afternoon in Brandon with a last-minute loss to the Wheat Kings. The Wheat Kings scored three goals in the final 1:11 to down the Pats by a 6-3 score.
Macoy Erkamps, Tyler Coulter and Jayce Hawryluk scored in a 49-second span to push the Wheat Kings past Regina.
Ty Lewis, Duncan Campbell and Reid Duke also found the back of the net for Brandon (22-11-3). Jordan Papirny made 23 saves for the win.
Adam Brook had a pair of goals while Lane Zoblocki scored the other for the Pats. Jordan Hollet stopped 28 shots in defeat.

Sounds about right for the Patsies.
..it appears some are still on break..I suppose it's lost on them that they are a sub 500 team…maybe Swift Current isn't the only team that needs to start rebuilding..they still can't play a 60 minute game and there doesn't seem to be any change in sight, maybe Saskatoon but not to count on it..sadly the post game shows have been almost identical…the team is playing very poor and there are some serious problems on it that don't include youth.
the only serious problem they have and the legue has is the games are fixed between certain clubs across the legue i have been researching this and have found out that vice versa as an example if moose jaw and regina are playing on the same night one team will lose on the majority of nights and the other will win one team gets momentum in game and suddenly the other team loses momentum don't believe me go through past seasons between the clubs I just put thay out there because people are paying good money to watch I don't… Read more »

No more excuses for being a younger team.The of lack of effort,stupid penalties, and not competing for a whole 60 minutes is complete crap. Time to make players accountable for there lack of effort and that falls on the coaching staff. No more mister nice guy and it is time to bench a few players who are not giving 100%. Very true Dan. If the fan poll on the Pats site is any indication of the dissatisfaction there is plenty. 70% of the fans want anything from a couple to numerous moves made. It shows the lack of belief in this group that the fans have. Even if the talent is average the work ethic doesn't need to be. If some players won't listen to the coach or want to freelance then maybe it's time for a few more players with better attitudes and character. Not good enough to be champions even next year.

Yup…got to pick it up this 2nd half…trade deadline looming so Mgmt may have to make some moves looking ahead to peeking next year. Brooks is playing lights out in his last year (20 year old Cooper take heed!)…younger players need to take in some of that leadership and passion for the game. Wagner has to give his head a shake too…speed isn't everything…got to use his head as well.

Private ownership kills pride and work ethic. The Pats and Blades will be half hearted teams until the community takes over. Kids today do not take to the sloganeering and working to make an owner feel proud. They will work hard for a city however neither the Pats or Blades can consider themselves playing for their cities. It is made very clear to them who they belong to.
What a LOAD OF BULL! Private or public ownership means nothing. The Pinder family owned the Pats back in the early 80s and there was a lot of continued success. And the kids had numerous distractions back then too. Making excuses like this is, quite frankly, dumb.
