WMBL: MOOSE JAW 4 REGINA 0
Moose Jaw shut out the Regina Red Sox 4-0 Saturday night in front of 342 fans at Ross Wells Park.
Jordan Scott made his third WMBL start for the Regina Red Sox. The junior from Liberty University lasted seven innings. Scott allowed three Moose Jaw runs on six hits in a losing effort. He also registered five strikeouts. Preston Minor came on in relief in the eighth inning.
Hunter Kloke, the lefty from Henderson KY, made an impressive start for the Miller Express. He pitched 7.1 scoreless innings surrendering just three hits for the win. Kloke also struck out five before handing the ball to Tanner Emes to finish the inning. Ben Dalke pitched the ninth inning for the Express.
Moose Jaw outfielder Ty Schindel let the Miller Express attack with two doubles and two runs. Lane Harvey also added a pair of hits for Moose Jaw.
Regina managed just five hits in the game while Moose Jaw had eight. The Red Sox also struggled in the field committing three errors. The loss ended Regina’s three game winning streak and dropped their record to 9-4. Moose Jaw jumped up to a respectable 8-6.
The Red Sox return to the diamond on Tuesday when they travel to Melville for a date with the Millionaires.
