XFL, MLSE GOT SOMETHING COOKING?

Two sources told RodPedersen.com Friday afternoon that global entertainment star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is meeting with MLSE Chairman Larry Tanenbaum while in Toronto this week.

The Rock made headlines for revving up the crowd at Thursday’s Toronto Maple Leafs home-opener.

We’re not sure what’s the latest on the CFL’s explorative talks about a partnership with the XFL. They were in, then out, then, well, who knows. Here’s what the CBC has to say about it.

A few weeks ago we noted on this website that something was coming down the pipe regarding ownership in Toronto, and a possible foray into the USA for the first time since 1995.

Perhaps this is it.

Any US expansion without the ratio number of Canadians playing would be another disaster for the CFL. That wingnut of a commissioner is sure trying to play with all Americans! It’s the Canadian Football League you dummy!

Tanenbaum should be charged with treason!

I think Rod is right. Toronto and Montreal will join XFL because of Tannenbaum’s arrogance, avarice and greed, thus the end of the CFL.

Wonder how much Argos spent on market this year? Hhhhhmmmmm……..
