DUB ROUND-UP: TIGERS SPOIL BEDARD’S 4-POINTER

REGINA – Bogdans Hodass scored twice and the Medicine Hat Tigers “held” Connor Bedard to four points as they defeated the Regina Pats 6-4 in Western Hockey League action on Sunday at the Brandt Centre.

Tomas Mrsic, Brayden Boehm, Andrew Basha and Pavel Bocharov also scored for the Tigers (19-21-7-1), who trailed 3-1 after the first period and 4-2 heading into the third.

Connor Bedard scored three goals for the Pats (22-21-1-1), while Zane Rowan netted a single.

The Tigers outshot the Pats 39-25.

ICE 5 HITMEN 4 (OT)

CALGARY, Alta. – Owen Pederson’s second goal of the game, at 2:42 of overtime, settled a superb game as the Winnipeg ICE edged the Calgary Hitmen 5-4.

Graham Sward, Easton Armstrong and Carson Latimer also scored for the ICE (35-6-1-0), who outshot the Hitmen 42-34.

Sean Tschigerl scored twice for the Hitmen (23-17-5-1), while Maxim Muranov and Oliver Tulk netted singles.

HURRICANES 10 OIL KINGS 2

EDMONTON, Alta. – Hayden Smith scored three goals as the Lethbridge Hurricanes whipped the host Edmonton Oil Kings 10-2.

Tyson Zimmer scored twice for the Hurricanes (26-16-3-2), while Anton Astashevich, Nolan Bentham, Miguel Marques, Cole Shepard and Jett Jones scored singles.

Noah Boyko and Mason Finley scored for the Oil Kings (7-36-3-0).

AMERICANS 3 SILVERTIPS 2

EVERETT, Wash. – Jalen Luypen scored the game-winner at 15:41 of the second period as the Tri-City Americans edged the Everett Silvertips 3-2.

Reese Belton and Ethan Ernst also scored for the Americans (23-16-4-1).

Ben Hemmerling and Jackson Berezowski scored for the Silvertips (23-22-1-0).

WINTERHAWKS 4 CHIEFS 3 (OT)

PORTLAND, Ore. – Marek Alscher’s goal at 3:09 of overtime lifted the Portland Winterhawks to a come-from-behind 4-3 victory over the visiting Spokane Chiefs.

Chaz Lucius scored with 17 seconds left in the third period as the Winterhawks tied the Chiefs 3-3 and forced overtime.

James Stefan and Ryan McCleary also scored for the Winterhawks (34-8-2-1), who outshot the Chiefs 45-28.

Jaren Brinson, Cade Hayes and Berkly Catton scored for the Chiefs (9-32-2-2).
