RIDERS RELEASE GREG JONES

The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced Friday morning they’ve released linebacker Greg Jones.
The 28-year old appeared in 16 games with the Riders last season and registered 70 defensive tackles, two sacks, two forced fumbles, and eight special teams tackles.
The Michigan State product lost his starting role when the club signed Canadian middle linebacker Henoc Muamba in late-September.
Jones has spent three years in the CFL, the first two with the Toronto Argonauts.  He also owns a Super Bowl ring from the 2011 New York Giants.
