THE NEST PATS RECAP: REGINA 5 BRANDON 2

REGINA – The Regina Pats skated past the Brandon Wheat Kings 5-2 at the Brandt Centre on Sunday for the club’s second straight victory, and 31st on the year.

Brandon led 1-0 after one but the Pats exploded for 21 shots and four goals in the second to take the lead for good.

Dawson Leedahl scored twice in the contest including the game winner and Nick Henry chipped in with two assists. Max Paddock stopped 29 of 31 shots and improved to 4-1-0-0 in his WHL career.

The Pats outshot Brandon 47-31 in the victory, the powerplay was two for two and the penalty kill went four for four.

The Pats (31-6-6-1) are back in action on Friday in Calgary against the Hitmen. Puck drop is at 8 p.m. on 620 CKRM.
