THE NEST PATS RECAP: MEDICINE HAT 8 REGINA 5

Regina – The Regina Pats dropped a back and forth affair with the Medicine Hat Tigers, 8-5, at the Brandt Centre on Friday night.

Medicine Hat jumped out to a 3-0 first period lead but the Pats got to within one before the intermission.

In the second the Tigers scored twice to the Pats one and it was 5-3 after two.

In the third, the Pats drew even at 5-5 but the Tigers responded with three in a row, one into an empty net and picked up the two points.

Sam Steel led the Pats with a goal and three assists while Max Paddock made 26 saves in goal. Other Pats goal scorers were Jeff De Witt, Dawson Leedahl (2) and Adam Brooks.

Regina was two for four on the powerplay in the loss and outshot Medicine Hat 41-34.
