ESKIMOS 40 BLUE BOMBERS 26

WINNIPEG – John White ran in a pair of touchdowns as the Edmonton Eskimos defeated the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 40-26 on Friday.

White, who got his starting job back this week when Shakir Bell was injured in Wednesday’s practice, ran into the end zone from three and five yards out. He also ran a two-point convert late in the game and finished with 19 carries for 104 yards.

The victory evened Edmonton’s record to 7-7 and gave the club the three-game season series (2-1) against Winnipeg (8-6).

Eskimos quarterback Mike Reilly completed 32-of-38 pass attempts for 355 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions.

Edmonton receivers Adarius Bowman and Derel Walker, who are first and second respectively in the CFL in receiving yardage, caught TD passes. Bowman’s was a 15-yard grab and Walker put up a 61-yard catch-and-run followed by White’s two-point convert.

Walker had 10 catches for 120 yards and Bowman had 10 grabs for 97 yards.

With the loss, the Bombers failed to clinch at least a crossover playoff berth in the 2016 CFL Playoffs.

You Winnipeg fans are awful. I was actually glad you guys were finally winning this season. 24,000 fans for 5/6 of your games this year , 9,000 short of sellouts. Including last night in such an important Friday night game. Back to hoping for grease-fires in Bomber land from this guy at the laundromat.

Winnipeg crowds are very similar to the LAST PLACE riders crowds this year only difference were than the riders crowds all bought tickets before the season but the actual fans showing up were just like the Bombers crowds far from full best fans NOT.

Bomber fans, Rider fans. Whatever. All better then the Esks fans. Esks used to lead the league in attendance. Now….not so much. What happened.

Eskischmos, the once proud flagship franchise of this league.

Now, just another Montreal

Look at our pathetic hickey team that hasn't won in decades lol

You talk about Edmonton's NHL team sucking…how is your professional NHL team doing in sask…my point exactly so quit talking now. Also big reason why your riders sell out all the time so easy is because there is nothing close for professional sports for people to have to spend on otherwise, true fact…pig racing doesn't count sask.

True fact…. Sask is a wheat Provice. Alberta is the Beef and Pig Province. So if your going to take a dig at somebody. Maybe look in your own back yard first.
