PATS HOME OPENER ON FRIDAY

The Regina Pats will kick-off the 2016-17 regular season this Friday at home versus the Prince Albert Raiders.  The Pats and Raiders will play the first half of a home and home matchup.

“We’re back and ready for an exciting season,” said Pat’s President Todd Lumbard.  “We can’t wait to get the regular season started with our loyal fans and sponsors who make everything we do possible.”

In order to get the Pats Regiment ready for the game, they are invited to a pre-game barbeque inside the Agribition Building.  The party begins at 4:30 p.m.  A valid home-opener game ticket is required to get in.  Everyone attending the festivities is asked to consider making a suggested donation of $2 to the Children’s Wish Foundation who will be at the door.

Once inside the barbeque, Regiment members can take in an interactive military display featuring vehicles and equipment.  There are hotdogs, pop, and a cash bar.  The kids can enjoy Dino Bouncers while everyone can take advantage of face painting to get their game face on.  Local band Cornerstone will get everyone ready for the game and there will be brief remarks from Regina Pats Ownership.

620 CKRM’s The Sportscage with Rod Pedersen, 104.9 The Wolf and MY 92.1 FM will be on location.

The Regina Pats want to thank the Home Opener sponsors including Dumur Industries, Harvard Broadcasting, Sherwood Coop, Harvest Meats and Evraz Place for making everything possible.

The City of Regina has declared September 23 Regina Pats Day, flying the Pats flag in front of City Hall.

After checking out the barbeque, Pat’s Regiment members will want to get their seats early so not to miss the special pre-game ceremony.

The Regina Pats are happy to report Evraz Place has brought back the Pats Regiment’s two favourite food deals.  Taco Tuesday, two Taco-In-A-Bag for $10 is back along with Wiener Wednesday, two for one hotdogs.  New this year, and in time for the home opener, is Game Day Happy Hour pricing of $5 on most alcoholic beverage from the time the doors open until game time.  (6 – 7 p.m. or 3 – 4 p.m. for Sunday games)
