WHEAT KINGS 3 PATS 2 (SO)
The Regina Pats got 38 saves between starter Tyler Brown and Jordan Hollett but lost a 3-2 shootout decision in Brandon to the Wheat Kings on Friday night.
Chase Harrison and Dawson Leedahl each had a goal and an assist in the first period on the powerplay to spot the Pats a 2-1 after 1.
However Connor Gutenberg scored his second of the night in the 3rd for the Wheat Kings to tie the game 2-2 and force overtime.
The extra frame solved nothing and in the shootout Ivan Provorov and Ty Lewis scored for Brandon who took the win 3-2. Nick Henry and Riley Woods were stopped by Logan Thompson in the shootout, the Brandon netminder made 32 saves for the win.

What’s Next?
The Regina Pats will host the Wheat Kings to wrap up the pre-season on Saturday night at the Co-operators Arena at 7 p.m. The club will open the regular season in the home opener on Friday September 23rd at 7 p.m. at the Brandt Centre against the Prince Albert Raiders.
