REGINA THUNDER SPORTS DINNER PHOTOS

Edmonton’s Chris Getzlaf and Gizmo Williams
The Regina Thunder annual sports dinner was held Saturday night at the Turvey Center featuring Canadian Football Hall of Famer and Edmonton Eskimo great Henry “Gizmo” Williams.
The newest Eskimo Chris Getzlaf – the receiver from Regina – figured prominently in the night, presenting legendary Rams coach Frank McCrystal with the Bill Cronin Award for lifetime service.
Here are some photos:

The Giz on stage. His story and speech are AMAZING!  ….
Getzlaf congratulates Frank …

Not surprisingly Frank thanked all the coaches and players he worked with in his 30+ years as Rams coach.
Former Rams DB Marco Ricci received the Murray Sawa award and was honoured as well, for his efforts starting Estevan Minor Football.  Regina’s Dwayne Masson was presented with the Unsung Hero Award.

Giz’s Edmonton teammate Matt Dunigan sent a hilarious video welcoming Henry to the event …

Get used to it!

Football personality Larry Mueller (father of Marc) poses with Giz. Larry won the trip for two on the SportsCage Marlin Travel Ultimate Sports Trip XI. The only problem is we don’t know where we’re going yet!
I’ll have more in the MMG …

The last picture I can take, but a Dressler-Bombers jersey I'm not ready for yet.

Kool 89 jersey, the Getzlaf name looks good in green/gold/white. Come to think of it, the Roughrider jersey starting to look a bit bland when you look at the above picture caption. Thanks for the Sunday post Mr. Pedersen, have a great day.

I'm guessing Mike Gibson wasn't there, but there were many jokes at his expense. If I hadn't been in Saskatoon, I would have been there.
