HOWELL TO THE RIDERS
The Winnipeg Sun’s Kirk Penton is reporting Markus Howell is joining the Saskatchewan Roughriders as Receivers Coach. Here is Howell’s bio from Wikipedia:
Markus Howell (born April 21, 1975 in Winnipeg, MV) is a former professional Canadian football wide receiver and kick returner who is the wide receivers coach of the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He was drafted in the fourth round of the 2000 CFL Draft by the Blue Bombers. He played college football at Texas Southern.
Howell has also been a member of the Ottawa Renegades and Calgary Stampeders.
He has spent the past five seasons as an assistant coach with the Blue Bombers.
* Penton also reports the Bombers are losing defensive backs coach Barron Miles to the Edmonton Eskimos.

Rod as a fan I appreciate the work you do on this blog. I hope your sponsors make the effort worth it. It's pretty sad how negative everyone is on this regime when they haven't even played a game yet. It's especially troubling when people take personal shots at you! It makes the fanbase look really, really dumb! It's unfortunate but I guess it takes all kinds.

Reality Check – there is one troll out of Edmonton who posts multiple times here. Everyone knows why. He is bitter about Jones bailing on his Eskimos. He is pathetic and likely will continue to take his silly shots at the Riders going forward. So to suggest "everyone" is negative is to ridiculous.
Rider Nation knows that we have a very capable head coach in Chris Jones who has assembled an excellent group of assistants to turn things around here.

Have you not noticed that no one in Edmonton cares that Jones left. In fact no one in the other cities that he left cares that he left.
And Calgary doesn't care that Murphy left but they replaced him with a much better option.
