REGINA — The Regina Pats built up a 6-1 lead over the visiting Lethbridge Hurricanes and then had to hold on for a wild 6-5 victory Saturday night in the Brandt Centre.

The Pats led 3-1 after the first period on goals by Connor Hobbs, Colby Williams and Adam Berg and upped their lead to 6-1 in the middle frame after Rykr Cole, Lane Zablocki and Sam Steel all found the net.  The Pats led 6-3 going into the third frame and after giving up four answered goals, were able to hold on for the victory.

Rookie Pats goalie Jordan Hollett got the win making 31 saves.

NOTES:  Regina outshot Lethbridge 36-35 … Regina was 1/3 on the powerplay and 1/2 killing penalties … Adam Berg was a team-leading +3 … The attendance was 4179.

The Pats (15-13-3) conclude a busy weekend Sunday in Saskatoon in a 4:05 pm faceoff on 620 CKRM.  Tuesday the Pats are back home to the Kamloops Blazers.
