RED DEER, Alta. – Conner Bleackley’s power-play goal in the second period stood as the winner as the Rebels held on to beat Regina 2-1 Saturday night at the Centrium.

Jeff de Wit opened the scoring with a short-handed goal for Red Deer (19-8-0), which won its third straight.  Lane Zablocki responded with a power-play goal of his own for the Pats (12-11-2).

It was the second game this week between the two clubs, with both meetings coming in Red Deer.  The Pats won 3-2 in Central Alberta on Tuesday.

NOTES:  The Pats were 1/3 on the powerplay and 8/9 killing penalties … The Rebels outshot the visitors 39-19 … Tyler Brown took the loss in the Pats’ goal … Regina is now 2-3-1 on their nine-game rodeo trip.

Regina visits Saskatoon Wednesday at 7:00 pm on 620 CKRM.
