PFC SUNDAY PREVIEW: THUNDER AT COLTS

The Regina Thunder (4-2) are on the road on Sunday in a battle for second place in the PFC with the Calgary Colts (4-2). The Thunder have been off since a Week 6 win at Winnipeg while the Colts downed the Edmonton Huskies 37-17 at McMahon Stadium on the same weekend. It is the first and only meeting between the two clubs this season.

THUNDER NOTES:  The Thunder offence has scored a league-leading 281 points in their 6 previous games. They lead the PFC in passing yards with 1921 and in rushing with 1465.

Quarterback Jaeden Marwick leads the PFC with 1493 yards passing and has the best completion percentage amongst starters at 66.2%.  Running back Colton Klassen leads the league in rushing yards with 700 and is second in touchdowns with 5.  Receiver Kasin Ocaya is second in yards through the air with 385 and is second in scores with 5 touchdowns.

Linebacker Jarrett Seck leads the team with 17 tackles, that is three off the league lead. He has 2 forced fumbles and one recovery as well. LB Paul Toth is not far behind with 16 tackles on the season. He also has 5 assisted and 5 on special teams and an interception.

DB’s Taylor Meyer and Dustin Erbach are tied for 4th with 2 interceptions a piece, Erbach also has 11 tackles, 9 assisted and 4 on special teams and a forced fumble as well. Marcus Hall, Paul Toth, Mason Dick and Ashton Vien have the other interceptions.

COLTS NOTES:  The Colts offense has scored 194 points in their 6 games, that is the 3rd most. They have the second most passing yards with 1406 and the second most rushing yards with 1305. The club has turned the ball over 18 times, 5 interceptions, 11 lost fumbles and twice on downs.

Quarterback John Kiesman is the PFC’s second leading passer with 1281 yards. He has thrown 11 touchdowns and 5 picks.  Running back Xavier Ramsay is the 4th leading rusher with 504 yards and has 4 touchdowns.  Receiver Kyle Brick has recorded the third most yards with 373 and leads the PFC in touchdown catches with 6.

The Colts defence has allowed the second least points on the season at 130.   Jmin Pelley leads the team with 15 tackles on the season. Colton Burr and Jayden Lawson are close behind with 14 a piece.  Owen Redlick leads the PFC in interceptions with 5.
