PRESEASON: HITMEN 4 PATS 3

The Regina Pats (0-1-0-0) opened the 2015 WHL Pre-Season with a 4-3 loss to the Calgary Hitmen (1-0-0-0).

Game Story
After the Pats and Hitmen traded goals courtesy of Lane Bensmiller (CGY) and Luc Smith (REG), the visitors jumped out to a lead at the end of the frame.

The Pats calmed things down over the intermission.  They held the Hitmen off the board and Adam Berg scored to cut the lead down to 4-2 heading to the third.  The Queen City Kids continued chip away as Trygve Many Guns got on the score sheet with 6:11 remaining.

The Pats called goaltender Jordan Hollett to the bench for the final minute, but couldn’t find a tying goal as they dropped the 4-3 decision to Calgary.

Was to good to get back into the "hockey" seat tonight and watch some good young talent. Looking forward to this year; both teams really got going in the 3rd period to display some exciting & fast hockey. Looking forward to the weekend games!
