PATS-WARRIORS SOLD OUT

The Regina Pats Hockey Club is pleased to announce the January 23rd home game against the Moose Jaw Warriors is officially sold out.  Friday is an important night for the organization and community as the Pats unveil their new state-of-the-art centre ice score clock and video system.

Thanks to Friday’s game sponsor, the Brandt Group of Companies, there will be plenty of festivities including an appearance by sports entertainer Cameron Hughes, giveaways and three lucky fans will have the chance to shoot-to-win $250,000 in an intermission.

Fans unable to purchase tickets won’t miss a moment of the pre-game unveiling and latest edition of the Trans-Canada Clash as the game will be televised on Access 7.  The broadcast will present the evening’s events starting with the first moments of the new screens lighting up to the final buzzer between the Pats and Warriors.  Regina Pats Director of Media and Communications Daniel Fink has the play-by-play call and is joined by 620 CKRM and 104.9 The Wolf’s Michael Ball on colour commentary.  The Access7 broadcast will also be available through WHL Live Web TV.

“Access7 is your source for local hockey and we are excited to once again partner with the Regina Pats to bring WHL hockey to living rooms across Saskatchewan,” commented Jim Deane President and CEO, Access Communications Co-operative.

Fans unable to watch the game at home can tune in to a special broadcast of Home Depot Pats Hockey on 620 CKRM.  The Pats radio team is going through a “throw-back” to the last time the Brandt Centre featured a centre-ice clock as 620 CKRM’s Rod Pedersen and Pats Alumni Al Dumba re-unite for the broadcast.

“It’s a huge honour to have been asked to participate in such an historic evening and to be able to broadcast Friday’s events to CKRM listeners all over the province,” said Rod Pedersen.  “It will be extra special to return to the booth with my partner Al Dumba, after having worked 15 seasons with him on Pats radio.  Thanks again to the Pats for the opportunity!”

Due to the high volume of traffic entering the grounds at Evraz Place, fans are advised to arrive early for Friday’s game so they can be in their seats for 7:00 p.m. when the unveiling ceremony begins.

It will be nice to hear Rod and Al once again on the air as this duo is unmatched in hockey circles around these parts. We're glad to have you Rod and again, it's Calgary loss. It's just baffling that Rod is not in the NHL at this point in his career but I will say this; it’s not a reflection on Rod’s abilities, more so sheds light on the “old boys club” the NHL is and has been for years. All you half-wits should go out of your way to thank Rod for all he does for this community.… Read more »

Come on, be better than that. You damn well know who Midnight Rider is.

Midnight Rider makes fools of all you minions daily.

Let's face it, none of you are at my level so I need to create alter-egos just to challenge myself.

Maybe I'll call into the Cage tonight just to show you folks what I know, which is more than you. Hockey, baseball, football, movies, country music, doesn't matter.

Y'er welcome,
Jamie…Midnight Rider….Devin from Gray…..Obama

Maybe Evraz can staff the parking lot beforehand too so that idiots can park their vehicles half decently. A little bit of organization goes a long way.

Are yo sure its a historic event, that might be a bit over dramatic.
After all its just a new clock.
I wonder what sold out this game, was it the MJ Warriors coming to town or the gimmicks / marketing. I venture to say the latter. Hope all these fans don't bother the regulars.

this sell out has nothing to do with the MJ Warriors sadly… its all the hype about the score clock I guess fans have been waiting a very long time for a center ice score clock… who would of thunk

Yes midnight rider aka Obama. Tell us how much you know about sports.

Say, since we're on the subject, how did that call work out for you that Buono would be the next coach of the lions!!

Rod and Al back behind the mic. Nothing against Phil and the Fink, but I hope this is the way it is for next year and beyond.

Thank Gavin for ensuring the joint is sold out. A lot of Brandt employees and clients will be at the game. Good for You Gavin – very generous. Gavin Semple is a very fine Gentleman! He ALWAYS does things for the right reasons – his heart is in the right place.

Well the clock cost almost as much as entire Riders payroll, so ya I guess it's kind of a big deal.

Love to listen to the Tiger Tale feature with Tiger Williams on the Sports Cage.

He is great radio and a real treasure out here in the west.

Listening to him today, it occurred to me that should Don Cherry ever decide to retire, there is only one person in the hockey world who could fill his shirt collars and that would be Tiger Williams. Also, could you imagine a hockey show, radio or TV, with Tiger and Cherry talking hockey.
