PATS UNVEIL NEW SCORECLOCK

The Regina Pats Hockey Club is pleased to announce an exciting new addition to the Pats game-day experience at the Brandt Centre: a state-of-the-art, NHL-calibre digital score clock that will revolutionize the way Regina hockey fans enjoy their favourite game.

“We wanted to raise the stakes for Pats fans in a big way,” says Regina Pats co-owner Shaun Semple. “Regina has faithfully supported this team for almost a century and we owe it to our fans to deliver the very best.  This clock is an absolute game-changer; it will be among the most impressive in the league.  We’re very proud that it, and the necessary upgrades to the building, are being 100% designed, built and managed right here in Regina by Brandt, exclusively using local suppliers and trades.”

Total cost for the clock and Brandt Centre upgrades will be over $3 million.

The new clock, which will be unveiled at the Pats January 23rd home game, is one part of a complete digital entertainment system and features the highest stadium LED HD resolution in Canada at 4.9 mm vs. other stadiums at 8mm+.   It includes ten display screens totaling 4.37 million pixels, with four large main video displays, four curved corner sponsor video displays, and top and bottom ring screens.  It is the largest suspended score clock in Saskatchewan at 23.4’x 17’ and weighs in at an impressive 22,000lb.

This upgrade is yet another demonstration of the new Pats ownership group’s unwavering commitment to enhancing value for Regina hockey fans.

“This new clock will offer unprecedented access to real-time game stats and video to our fans while providing our sponsors with many new opportunities,” adds Anthony Marquart, Regina Pats Governor.

Work has recently been completed on renovations and structural upgrades to the Brandt Centre, necessary to accommodate the massive new electronic displays.

Honest to goodness could the former regime do anything right?

I guess when you know how to build relationships and work with people good things happen.

Well done Owners well done.

Oh and that comment Paddock made about not repeating the mistakes of the past? Well that was a direct arrow slung at one guy who ruined a lot of good Hockeymen's careers.

This is big boy hockey and you don't get to learn on the job. You earn you way to the table.

Very happy to see things like this happening. It's minor to the hockey product but it's great for the business and game day experience.

Looks first class. Better than what is at the MTS centre in Winnipeg and should be one of the best in junior hockey anywhere. With this kind of investment in local hockey, could the Pats be in line for hosting another Mem Cup in the next decade or maybe going for a World junior bid if the Brandt centre added seats to the west end.

Interesting times ahead! New team dynamic, new clock, new buzz. Wouldn't it be absolutely sick if the boys kept winning. Paddock could become Mayor!

That's it I'm. Not going to anymore games. First they trade everybody the put in a new score clock. I'm done.

To all the negative nellies out there who were going to complain. Get off your aces and go watch something that we're going to be proud of.

To anon #2 – there actually was a centre ice score clock with video boards in Estevan so, yes they did surpass one of the better clocks that was out there compared to the wall hanger from before.?

Woweee new clock means we get Memorial Cup, World Hockey ! " NOT". After a couple of games nobody will notice the change . You need hockey players not clocks to win championships. And watch the ticket prices rise. How else will you pick up all that money to pay for this "Tick,Tock" ?

The people that say the Pats were beating all the top teams now. And think they have a chance Kelona added to 1st round picks in Morrisy and Draisatel{sorry about the spelling}and if brandon didnt add Klimchuk they would of added another high end forward, same with the hat. Pats could of done nothing but could they really beat these other teams in the playoffs. If this would have been done last year The 2 Stevenson and Boston Lear traded,it only happened once and that mem cup year.Didnt trade eberle,Weal Teubert. How do think Brandon got so good fleeced teams… Read more »

Dear Woweee:

As a fan who regularly attends NHL games and Pats games, I mock the Pats replay system and screens every game. I, and I suspect others, will enjoy this addition.
