Oliver Ekman-Larsson scored with 0.3 seconds left in overtime, as the Arizona Coyotes beat the Edmonton Oilers 2-1 Tuesday night in Glendale (http://azcoyotes.blogspot.ca/2014/12/coyotes-2-oilers-1-ot.html) . The game appeared to be headed to a shootout, but Ekman-Larsson took a feed from former Oiler Sam Gagner and beat Ben Scrivens just before the horn sounded. Edmonton has now lost five in a row.

Rick Nash scored two goals to reach 20 for the season, and the New York Rangers beat the Calgary Flames 5-2. Chris Kreider, Derek Stepan, and Carl Hagelin also scored for New York. Jiri Hudler and Curtis Glencross scored for Calgary. The Flames have lost six straight in regulation for the first time since January 2010.

Phil Kessel had a pair of goals as the Toronto Maple Leafs beat the Anaheim Ducks 6-2 for their sixth-straight win. Also, Alex Galchenyuk had his first-career hat trick as the Montreal Canadiens downed the Carolina Hurricanes 4-1. And Mark Scheifele scored twice and added an assist as the Winnipeg Jets topped the Buffalo Sabres 5-1.

Sources say Milwaukee Bucks rookie Jabari Parker will miss the rest of the season with a left knee injury. Parker tore the ACL in his knee in last night’s win at Phoenix. It’s a huge blow for a rebuilding franchise off to a good start under new coach Jason Kidd. The Bucks, who won 15 games all of last season, are 13-12.

Dwayn Wade scored 28 points, and the Miami Heat beat the Brooklyn Nets 95-91. The Heat had five players score in double figures, including three reserves. Starting forward Luol Deng had 18 points, and rookie Shabazz Napier scored 11.

Marc Gasol scored 24 points, and the Memphis Grizzlies snapped the Golden State Warriors’ NBA-best 16-game winning streak with a 105-98 victory. Mike Conley and Zach Randolph each scored 17 points, and Randolph grabbed 10 rebounds as Memphis earned its fifth straight win.
