Jonathan Toews also scored in the third period as Chicago rallied from a 3-2 deficit. After the game Montreal recalled Sven Andrighetto from its minor league affiliate.

Bryan Little got a monkey off the back of the Winnipeg Jets. Little scored a hat trick as Winnipeg dominated Colorado 6-2. It’s the first hat trick for the Jets franchise since it returned to Winnipeg in 2011. Eric Boulton had a hat trick for the then Atlanta Thrashers in 2010.

Matt Beleskey scored the winner midway through the third period to give the Anaheim Ducks a 5-4 victory over the Minnesota Wild. The win came at a cost though — Anaheim lost all-star Corey Perry midway through the first after a hit from Minnesota’s Keith Ballard. Perry had to be helped off the ice by a trainer and couldn’t put weight on his left leg.

Fatigue and injuries caught up with the Toronto Raptors in a 105-91 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. LeBron James scored 24 points to lead the Cavaliers. Amir Johnson had a season-high 27 points, and Kyle Lowry added 22 points and nine assists for the Raptors, who looked sluggish after a three-game swing through the NBA’s Western Conference. Toronto guard DeMar DeRozan has no timetable for his return after injuring his groin. DeRozan tore a tendon in his groin in a game against Dallas on November 28.

Rudy Gay had 27 points, Carl Landry made the game-winning basket with just under a second to play and the Sacramento Kings beat the Indiana Pacers 102-101 in overtime. Landry rebounded a missed shot by Gay, made a quick fake and converted underneath with 0.8 seconds left to stop a four-game losing streak.

Ottawa’s Rachel Homan improved to 5-and-1 in round-robin play at the Canada Cup curling tournament with a 9-4 victory over Olympic champion Jennifer Jones.
