DAYTONA HOMES FRIDAY RODSERVATIONS

WELCOME TO VANCOUVER!

Today we have a photo-blog of the 2014 Grey Cup festivities from the 102nd Grey Cup on the west coast.  Enjoy!

Here are two of the 700 volunteers who’ve signed on for the week…

Everyone knows the Grey Cup is on in Vancouver.  It’s not like Toronto.  Jian Ghomeshi is front page news out here too…

These player murals were very impressive..

That’s Taj Smith on that second banner.  You can tell by the way he runs…

The Rider Cheer Team is staying in our hotel and here they are congregating in the lobby..

The outdoor bandshell which anchors the Festival area…

One of the most beautiful areas in the country..

Rider Priders…

TSN’s Kate Beirness chats with TSN 1050 Toronto’s Steve Simmons and Dave Naylor…

Kate visits with TSN’s Gary Lawless for appearing on CKRM’s SportsCage…

CKRM football analyst Luc Mullinder poses with the Grey Cup “Fun Police”.  The guy in the Rider outfit is a former co-worker of mine from CFSL Weyburn — Duncan Hanni…

Can’t explain this.  A lobster following a bagpiper…

TSN’s Paul Lapolice pops by the SportsCage…

A Grey Cup tradition — the 620 CKRM Roughrider Pep Band pops by our broadcast location to perform alive..

CFL Commissioner Mark Cohon mockingly conducts the band on 620 CKRM.  What a picture!

We’ll be live again from the Grey Cup Friday at 4 pm on 620 CKRM.

ENJOY THE GAME!

Don't you mean really smoking hot. Bring her back to sask. We could use some of that hotness to melt some snow.

Just watched last years grey cup and it just brought back all the happiness and joy I felt last year. What a special team, too bad so many had to leave. Taman its time to build a team for the championship next year and it starts now by signing as many of the big pieces now.

Just watched yesteryear 1989 grey cup and it just bought back all the happiness and joy felt that year. What a extra special team, too bad the Sk. Football God Mr. Kent Austin had to leave. Jeremy O'Day it's time to build a team for the championship in future years and it starts now by scouting as many of the big pieces now.

Ummmmmm…Kate.

I think the biggest question of all of Grey Cup is…how much does Lawless weigh.

I say 325. Any other guesses…

Trade Abou, Sharky and some of that Great Western you are always sampling and trade it to TSN for Kate and then bring her home!

I see on the left hand side your ratings came out and it looks like CKRM did pretty well. Can you expand? I am guessing Sportscage is still without a doubt the #1 sports show in this province. Spill the beans RP!

Thanks for the photos Rod. Wish we were there, although there is much shoveling of snow that needs to be done here. Look forward to your Monday Morning Goaltender column, as it should be the best one of 2014.

Jen Hedger is fast becoming over the hill. Its Kate, Natasha and Sara now. There might not be a better looking woman on network Tv than Natasha!!!

Wouldn't that be amazing to win the Cup in 'Pegs home stadium next year. Portage and Main will go nuts with Rider green!

In your dreams Pedro, how can the riders be there when they won't even get into the playoffs next season. The only way they'll be there on Portage and Main is if they stop by and partake the festivities with the rest of the Winnipeg fanbase when the Blue Bombers win the Grey Cup.

Thank goodness the pep band performed alive. That "beyond the grave" stuff is a little too artsy-fartsy for me.

Who thought the idea of no roof on Regina's new part time stadium build? What a selfish waste for a public facility. Look outside at this weather, CFLeague head office need not award another GC to that city.
