REGINA – Dryden Hunt had a hat trick to lead the Pats past Medicine Hat 6-2 on Friday in the Brandt Centre.  With the win the Pats moved above .500 at 10-9-1.

Adam Brooks, Connor Gay and Sam Steel also scored for Regina who were outshot 41-35.

Tommy Vannelli and Cole Sanford had power-play goals for the Tigers (14-4-1).

Daniel Wapple made 39 saves in the Regina net to collect the win before 3747 fans.  Regina was 2/9 on the powerplay and 7/9 killing penalties.

The Pats look for a third straight win Saturday evening when they host the Seattle Thunderbirds at 7:00 (Press Box Sports Bar Pregame Show at 6:35 pm).

under 3800 with a chl top 10 team in town not very good regina…

The Pats were clearly up for this game and lets hope they don't flop tonight. Wapple was the reason the Pats won. The Pats need to make their own identity. Excellence is winning Championships and over the past dozen years the Tigers have won a lot of regular season games. They haven't won many league championships. This is likely because they are always too small up front and as the playoffs drag on they fall by the wayside. The Pats can take the best elements from the Tigers and improve upon that. Best Pats game I've seen this season. I totally expected the Tigers to win the game, as they are in top 10 in Canada, Pats played lights out and proved me wrong!

Bad Arena, bad team! They just beat a top 10 ranked team. Anything to bitch, you were probably one the guys that were always saying I am not going to a game until the Parkers sell. Clown!

I would still take winning 35-40 regular season games year in and year out then what our pats have done in the same time frame….

a junior team only needs roughly 2500 seats sold on avg to turn a profit seeing 3700 out the owners still see dollar signs coming in
