PATS 8 HURRICANES 1

REGINA – Adam Brooks, Braden Christoffer and Patrick D’Amico each scored twice as the Regina Pats toppled the visiting Lethbridge Hurricanes 8-1 on Sunday in Western Hockey League play.

Morgan Klimchuk scored once and set up two more for the Pats (6-8-1) while Austin Wagner tacked on a goal and an assist.

Lenny Hackman scored for the Hurricanes (4-9-1).

Regina’s Daniel Wapple made 35 saves for the win. Lethbridge’s Stuart Skinner allowed four goals on 30 shots before giving way to Zac Robidoux, who stopped 12-of-16 shots in 24:46 of relief.

The Pats went 2 for 4 on the power play while the Hurricanes failed to score on two chances with the man advantage.  The scoresheet says the attendance was 5020.

Regina hosts Saskatoon Friday at 7:00 pm on 620 CKRM.

I think the pats will be all right they just needed to add some toughness to help the skill players

If the pats got a good goaltender they could go a long way with the plates have

If the Pats are going to count on Burroughs, Cole and Smith to be their tough guys, they're in deep crap. Burroughs is a little guys who's fighting all the time because they have nobody looking after the young guys. He just about got killed on Saturday night. I'm disappointed that Paddock hasn't made a couple deals to bring some toughness to this team. This team will not do anything until it establishes a physical element.
