RIDER MOVES
The Saskatchewan Roughriders have announced the following transactions:
· ADD national kicker Justin Palardy to practice roster
· ADD national defensive lineman Ryan Wellman to practice roster
· RELEASE international linebacker Adrian Moten
· RELEASE international defensive back Ciante Evans
Wellman has been a with the Riders since the 2012 training camp. One of the local project players that could pay off big. At just about 24 years old and a tall 6'6" frame as a DE getting his hands up knocking down passes or disrupting a QBs throw he could find a niche as a speciality rotating DE filling a spot on the National part of the roster. being able to contribute on Teams is where he will get his feet wet.A good Canadian DE is always a big plus to have. I hope they have not given up on Milo.
Adding Paralyday is a nice insurance policy to have. Even if he is not playing he has expereince in which he could share among both Milo and Bartel.
Kickers have a tendency to coach themselves. Milo is still on the younger and Bartel coming from Aussie football converted to a punter could use a 3rd kicker like Justin in the mix with pro playing experince in both areas
