PATS SIGN PROSPECT

Regina, Saskatchewan – Regina Pats Senior VP and General Manager Chad Lang announced today the team has signed prospect forward Jacob Elmer (’98) to a WHL Standard Player Agreement.

The Calgary, AB product was the Pats’ 6th round pick (116th Overall) in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft.

 “It feels great,” said Elmer after signing with the Pats.  “The work starts now and I just have to become a better player, stronger and just push myself to the next level to crack a spot on the roster next year.  It’s just one step closer to being where I want to be.”

The 6’1”, 152 lbs. forward tallied 71 points, including 37 goals, in 52 games to lead the Mountaineers in points (tied) and goals.  At the 2013 World Sport School Challenge in Calgary, Elmer put up six points (2G, 4A) in six games.

Elmer will compete for a spot on the Pats roster when Training Camp opens August 21st at the Cooperators Centre.  The Blue and White play their first pre-season game August 28th in Regina against the Moose Jaw Warriors.
