MOOSE JAW, Sask. (CP) – Dakota Boutin scored 18:36 into the third overtime period to lift the Prince Albert Mintos over the Grenadiers de Chateauguay 4-3 for gold at the Telus Cup men’s national midget hockey championship on Sunday.

Was told by Ingrams older brother that his stick was taken from him to be put in the hockey hall of fame to commemorate the longest Telus cup game.

Kinda Karma here. Boutin released from Moose Jaw and ends up in PA. He then scores a winning goal in Moose Jaw to win a National Championship.

Regarding the attendance, the rink seats around 5000; maybe 2000there though. I was hoping more too, but, when the host team is done some interest is lost. On the other hand, hundreds of PA fans made the trip.

Both Boutin's and Ingram's stick are off to the HHOF.

The whole tournament was outstanding. I went to several games and each displayed excellent hockey. Unfortunately I couldn't get to the final but did get home in time to see the third period and three overtimes.

Congratulations to the Minto's and their fans…loved watching and listening to their fans.

And Well done Moose Jaw it was a great event

MJ as usual did an AMAZING job in hosting. It felt good considering they have a 4500 seat arena and the event typically get crowds of 1000. I think MJ averaged closer to 1500, so good job MJ.

How about all those real hockey fans in Regina who could not be bothered to go out their back door and witness the best Telus cup in history? Why not support a Sask team in a national final?
Regina, the sports city of the province.

Because Reginans think the sun rises and sets on a farm team football squad.
Pedersen et al wouldn't know a sport story if it punched them in the mouth.
Yeah Roddy, I know you won't have the stones to post this.
