FLORY TAKES OVER CFLPA

From Drew Edwards of the Hamilton Spectator:

• I’ve learned that Alouettes guard Scott Flory has replaced former Ticat Mike Morreale as the president of the CFL Player’s Association. The vote of CFLPA reps took place last night in Las Vegas where the players’ association is holding their annual meeting.

The big question – and one I’m not in position to answer just yet – is what impact this will have on negotiations between CFLPA and the CFL on a new collective bargaining agreement. The current CBA expires just before training camp and talk thus far have gone nowhere. Players are looking for higher salaries, given that the league has a new, more lucrative TV deal with TSN, as well as several new stadiums either built or on the way. The league says they aren’t as flush as the players seem to think.

That's exactly why he went back to Montreal. What was represented by shivers and Barrett was a complete lie. Why do you think they have nothing to do with the league anymore? Nobody could trust them.

Big Joe's nonsensical message makes me already pine for the days when Ontario only had two teams. Just not a CFL city. Like the nerdy cousin who tries to make the big splash at the family reunion by drinking a few too many and ends up laying in his own supper. Go away Ottawa.
