Sad day but yes, professional courtesy, particularly if they were hot on offering a contract. No use delaying the inevitable.

Thought at one time that he'd be Riders for life. Sucks to see him go but hope for all the best down south. If he doesn't make it there I'm sure he'll be back here. Couldn't see him playing for any other CFL team.

Thanks Weston.

Riders should also release Willy early. Would be a classy move similar to what Toronto did with Collaros.

Bittersweet moment but the riders are so deep that it won't even matter that he's gone! They're still gonna walk all over the competition just like they did last season! Good luck dressler and go riders go!!!! Repeat!!!

Sad day but happy for #7. You were a great Rider and if the NFL does not work out for you, do not forget where you will be welcomed back happily.
As for anon #7, in the words of Oscar Leroy, you are a "jackass". Now crawl back under the rock.

Sad but expected news. Good for Weston, class all the way. Also hear that Drew Willy won't be resigned. Should be an interesting Feb/Mar.
