CANADA’S WATCHING THE WORLD J’S

Overnight data from BBM Canada confirms that an average audience of 1.7 million Canadians watched Team Canada’s New Year’s Eve 3-2 victory over the United States, making it the most-watched program on Canadian television on New Year’s Eve.

 

The audience peaked late in the third period with more than 2.8 million viewers as Team Canada held on to win the game. 

 

Through Canada’s four preliminary round games, TSN has attracted an average audience of 1.4 million viewers – a record audience for a non-North American World Juniors.

· Canada-Czech Republic – 1.75 million viewers
· Canada-United Sates – 1.74 million viewers

· Canada-Slovakia – 1.2 million viewers

· Canada-Germany – 755,000 viewers

There is over 35 million people in Canada so I would say Canada is not watching. It's the sportscasters that like to think every Canadian loves hockey and that is so far from the truth. The majority of Canadians don't care.
