ESKS EXTEND NICHOLS AND MILLER

The Edmonton Eskimo Football Club has announced contract extensions for import quarterback Matt Nichols and non-import safety  Mike Miller, keeping them in Green and Gold through 2015.

Nichols originally signed as a free agent on Oct. 13, 2010. He made his CFL debut on June 30, 2012. Dressing for all 18 games that season, Nichols saw action in eight and went 48-of-83 (57.8%) for 884 yards and seven touchdowns. He also ran the ball 10 times for 76 yards. Nichols spent the 2013 season on the 9-game injured list after injuring his right knee.

Miller originally signed as a free agent on May 18, 2011. In three seasons with the Green and Gold, he recorded 54 special teams tackles and five defensive tackles. In 2012, the Acadia product led the team with 18 special teams tackles and was second on the team each of his other two seasons in Edmonton.
