The Week That Was
It was a busy week for the Regina Pats as they played four games in five nights.  They started out with the Teddy Bear Toss against the Kamloops Blazers.  Boston Leier scored the Teddy Bear Goal in the first period, but the Blue and White would fall to the Blazers 4-3 in the shootout after a wild finish to regulation.  Friday, the Pats faced off with the Saskatoon Blades for the second time in one week and held on for a 5-3 win over their divisional rivals.  The next night, the Kelowna Rockets found themselves down to the Pats on three occasions, but the Queen City Bunch couldn’t put the top team in the WHL away and dropped a 5-4 decision in overtime.  To finish their three-in-three weekend, the Pats visited Medicine Hat where rookie Nick Schneider put on a great performance in net, but the Blue and White came up short in a shootout once more, falling 4-3 to the Tigers.
