MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME

The Saskatchewan Roughriders switched plans on Wednesday, practicing outdoors at Mosaic Stadium rather than indoors at the Credit Union Eventplex, as was originally scheduled.  Clear skies and 4 degrees Celsius prompted the move.

The Riders (11-5) are after their fourth-straight win Saturday when they visit the Calgary Stampeders (13-3) at 5:00 pm.  Roughrider head coach Corey Chamblin says the Rider Nation was a big factor in their most recent win, 35-14 at home over BC on Saturday.

“It’s a lot of kudos to them!” Chamblin said on Wednesday.  “I know some guys talked earlier about no-shows but the Rider faithful were here and they were loud and proud.”

The 34,956 on hand Saturday were spurred on by some of the Riders’ injured/inactive players who were shown repeatedly on the SaskTel MaxTron jumping up and down, waving towels.  That group included Macho Harris, Ejiro Kuale and Eddie Russ.

“Those guys do a great job in practice of keeping our energy going and I thought it was a good deal to extend that to our fans before the snap and all those good things,” Chamblin said.  “It kept the fans going and our players going too.”

And Chamblin has a message for citizens of the Rider Nation who are planning on attending Saturday’s game at McMahon Stadium.

“Yes,” Chamblin advised.  “Let’s be super loud and let’s act like that’s our house.”

Deweter011 is talking through his ear holes again. I guess the 11 games the a Riders have won this season including the 3 game winning streak has nothing to do with Darian Durant. It's sure fun cheering for the Riders. But who wants to be grouped in as a Rider fan with bone head comments like that. When will this Province ever learn the game of football? Tell us dweeter… What other QB in the League has won more games than Darian has? Not even Kevin Glen has because Bo Levi Mitchell started a few. Give this QB a break… Read more »

Dear Dweter011…..I would bet that if the Riders were sitting at 16-0 right now, you'd still be complaining about DD. You sound like one who isn't happy unless he's ragging on someone. Go take it somewhere else!! Better yet….become a Stamps fan!!
