WARRIORS SELLERS AT DUB DEADLINE

Moose Jaw Warriors General Manager Alan Millar has announced a pair of trades on Thursday.

First, the Warriors acquired 18-year-old goalie Brock Gould, 18-year-old forward Logan Doust, 18-year-old defenceman Nolan Jones, a 3rd round pick in 2020 (Victoria), a 1st round pick in 2021 (Saskatoon), a 2nd round pick in 2022 (Victoria), and a 4th round pick in 2022 (Victoria) from the Victoria Royals in exchange for 19-year-old goalie Adam Evanoff, 18-year-old forward Brayden Tracey, a 4th round pick in 2020 (Red Deer), and a 5th round pick in 2023 (Moose Jaw).

As well, the Warriors acquire 18-year-old import forward Martin Lang from the Kamloops Blazers in exchange for 19-year-old import defenceman Libor Zabransky.

Gould, G, 6’5”, 201lbs, is from Colorado Springs, Colorado and currently is in his second season in the WHL.  This season with the Royals, Gould is 6-6-1 with a 2.81gaa and a .899sv% in 15 games.  Gould is one of four CHL goaltenders to be selected to play in the Kubota CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game coming up January 16th in Hamilton, Ontario.

Jones, LD, 6’2”, 180lbs is from Moose Jaw and currently is in his second full season in the WHL.  This season with the Royals, he has one goal, five assists, six points, and 40 penalty minutes in 30 games.  Jones has played in 91 WHL regular-season games and has three goals, 16 assists, and 19 points.  Jones played AAA in Moose Jaw from 2016 to 2018 and in 76 games had 13 goals, 25 assists, and 38 points.

Doust, RC, 6’0”, 185lbs, is from North Vancouver, BC and currently is in his second full season in the WHL.  This season with the Royals he has two goals, seven assists, and nine points in 36 games.  Doust has played 99 regular-season games and has eight goals, nine assists, and 17 points.  From 2016 to 2018, he played Major Midget in Vancouver and had 19 goals, 23 assists, and 42 points in 46 games.

Lang, RW, 5’10”, 175lbs, is from Rokycany, Czech Republic and in his second season in the WHL.  This year with the Blazers he has seven goals, 12 assists, and 19 points in 31 games.  Lang has 18 goals, 34 assists, and 52 points in 97 games.  He also played for the Czech Republic at the 2017 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, the 2018 Hlinka-Gretzky Cup, and the 2019 World Under-18 Championships.

Tracey was originally drafted by the Warriors in the 1st round, 21st overall, in 2016.  Evanoff was drafted by the Warriors in the 10th round of the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft.  Zabransky was acquired earlier this season from Saskatoon for a 7th round pick.
