TSN: RIDERS RE-SIGN ELIMIMIAN

TSN’s Farhan Lalji reported Tuesday morning the Saskatchewan Roughriders have re-signed linebacker Solomon Elimimian.

The 33-year old Hawaii product led the Riders in tackles in 2019.

Elimimian had a strong first season in Saskatchewan last year, being named a West Division All-Star after recording 88 tackles and four sacks in 15 games.

The veteran linebacker spent the first nine seasons of his CFL career with the BC Lions. The 2014 Most Outstanding Player has 833 tackles, 33 sacks, and eight interceptions in 133 career games played.

Needed to be done. Meanwhile with Blake & Bladek gone are depth there is very thin & unproven. Still waiting to see what happens with some of the big names out there. I would have thought with all the talk about BC landing Walker & Micah Johnson it would be done by now. Curious to see how that shakes out. Elimimian & Judge back & Foster replaces Moncrief. Not getting any younger there but should be good for this year.
