  • Winnipeg Jets broadcaster Brian Munz joined the show from his home and detailed the past week’s events from a Jets’ perspective, and how it all went down for them when they heard the season was to be suspended. Munzie also discussed the roll the Jets were on (including a big win at Edmonton) and how teams are approaching the break. “We’re all just following Darren Dreger’s lead,” Munz said.
  • RP Show NFL Insider Tori Gurley joined the show from Toronto to talk about Tom Brady’s decision to leave the Patriots, and the reasons why. He discussed Brady’s complex relationship with Bill Belichick. Tori predicts Tom will announce his retirement, offered his thoughts on the NFL quarterback carousel, and the Raiders’ move to Las Vegas since Tori spends plenty of time in Sin City.
  • The daily Capital Auto Mall/Universal Collision Centre poll question was: How do you expect the Patriots will do without Tom Brady? Over 60% of respondents predict they’ll be worse.
  • TSN NHL Insider Darren Dreger joined the show from his home office, to update the latest in the NHL around Coronavirus. “It’s impossible to predict when we’ll be back on the ice,” Dregs said. He also expressed his disappointment over the Junior A season being cancelled, given the great success his good friend Kevin “Killer” Kaminski has had in La Ronge in Year 1.
  • Calgary Flames broadcaster Peter Loubardias joined the show from his home in Toronto and spoke little of the pandemic’s impact on the Flames, and rather more on the need for people to help each other out during this difficult time. Pete also regaled the viewers with some old time hockey stories, and said he’s always available in future episodes to tell his tales.
  • Rod advised viewers that the plan is for the RP Show to stay on air for the foreseeable future, to provide a means of entertainment while the world is instructed to keep “Social Distance”. He also expressed the importance of supporting local and small businesses during this cash crunch.
  • Later in the day Rod broke the news that at least one CFL team has told its coaches that no disruption to the season is expected due to Coronavirus. The intent of the report was to provide some good news, and inject some hope into an otherwise dismal period.
