Thursday’s Episode #577 of The RP Show – Canada’s Daytime Sports Talkshow – was live from the Beach House in Pompano Beach, Florida! Here’s the rundown:

  • RP & Moose Dupont kicked it off with The Warmup for EECOL Electric covering these Quick Six show topics: 1) The Blue Jays fall 7-1 to the Rays in a heated rubber match, 2) In the CFL, Hamilton destroys Ottawa 24-6, 3) In the NHL, Buffalo strips Jack Eichel of his “C” and Rod goes berserk, 4) In the NFL Thursday Nighter, Carolina visits Houston (Panthers -8), 5) Should the Patriots honour Tom Brady with a ceremony in Week 4?, and 6) The Danbury Trashers documentary on Netflix is taking the world by storm.
  • Gareth Reese of the World Rugby 7’s event in Edmonton joined the show to preview this weekend’s action at Commonwealth Stadium, explain the sport and the field, and announce Covid restrictions.
  • UofS Huskies football coach Scott Flory joined the show to preview the 2021 Canada West season, this Saturday’s game at the Calgary Dinos, recap last weekend’s Homecoming and much more!
  • Topics discussed in the Second Half Kickoff for CORR Grain included: Was Wednesday’s Hamilton/Ottawa game indeed a sad night for the CFL as Arash Madani and Bob Irving alluded? If the Sabres stripped Eichel of his “C” due to his injury, why didn’t the Blackhawks do the same with Johnathan Toews? And on those criticizing the Riders for forgiving D-lineman A.C. Leonard for his actions causing three games of suspensions, Rod said those people better hope they’re never in a position where they need forgiveness.
