CFL SIM WEEK 20: REDBLACKS SWEEP STAMPS, BOMBERS UPSET LIONS, EDMONTON OUSTS ALS
OTTAWA – Nick Arbuckle hooked up with Brad Sinopoli for a third quarter touchdown to break the game open and Lewis Ward added two field goals as the RedBlacks upset Calgary 15-6 to sweep their home-and-home with the Stamps.
In a computer-simulated game on Doug Flutie’s Maximum Football, Calgary led 3-2 after the first quarter and 3-2 at halftime. The Sinopoli touchdown and Ward field goals over the second half propelled Ottawa to victory and makes them CFL SIM’s hottest team. They concluded their regular season at 10-8 which is remarkable after an 0-7 start. Calgary had already clinched the #1 seed in the overall standings as no team can catch them heading into the final week of the regular season.
Arbuckle threw for 209 yards, the touchdown and one interception while his counterpart Bo Levi Mitchell tossed for just 178 and a pick. Calgary kicker Rene Parades was 2/4 on field goals.
