Mitch Marner scored a goal and added two assists in a 3-2 Toronto Maple Leafs win over the Ottawa Senators. Tim Stutzle scored his first NHL goal in the loss. Toronto and Ottawa have now split their last two games following a 5-3 Ottawa win last night.

Carey Price was near-flawless as he helped the Montreal Canadiens to their first victory of the season. The goaltender made 34 saves on 35 shots in a 5-1 blowout victory over the Edmonton Oilers. Tomas Tatar and Jeff Petry each scored two goals while Jake Evans added his first of the season in the win.

The Toronto Raptors finally have their fourth victory of the season. Norman Powell led all Raptors with 24 points while Montrealer Chris Boucher added 20 points and nine rebounds in a 116-113 victory over the Charlotte Hornets. Gordon Hayward led the Hornets, and all scorers, with 25 of his own.

Oakville native Madelina Schizas won the women’s title at the Skate Canada Challenge. The teenager was victorious following her free skate performance, earning a total score of 175.65. Alison Schumacher finished in second, while bronze medallist Gabrielle Daleman was third. The event was held virtually due to COVID-19 concerns.

Taron Johnson’s 101-yard pick-six propelled the Buffalo Bills into the A-F-C Championship game with a 17-3 win over the Baltimore Ravens in their Divisional Round match-up. The interception is tied for the longest in league history. The Bills will play the winner of the Chiefs-Browns Divisional Round match-up.
