BEDARD’S OT WINNER LIFTS PATS OVER RAIDERS IN P.A.

Prince Albert, Sask. — The Regina Pats picked up a massive two points on Friday night after Connor Bedard scored the overtime winner against the Prince Albert Raiders.

Bedard ended the game 24 seconds into the extra frame after beating Tikhon Chaika with a wrist shot under the arm on a 2-on-1 rush. It was his 30th goal of the season.

Also scoring for the Pats were Layton Feist — who had a beauty in the opening frame — Borya Valis, Tanner Howe and Cole Carrier, who tied the game with under five minutes to go.

Drew Sim returned from injury to pick up the win in the crease.

The Pats outshot the Raiders 36-26 in the game. They went 0-for-3 on the power play and 0-for-2 on the kill.
