MONDAY RUNDOWN: BACK AT GREY EAGLE!

We began a 4-week stint at Grey Eagle Resort & Casino in Calgary with Monday’s Episode #735 of The RP Show – Daytime Sports & Entertainment Talk – on Game+ TV! Read on for the rundown:

  • RP and co-host Lee Genier (award-winning sports executive) got things going with The Warmup covering these Quick Six show topics: 1) Weekend recap including the Sports Gala in Assiniboia, 2) Scottie Scheffler wins The Masters and Tiger finishes 47th, 3) The Blue Jays take 2 of 3 off the Rangers and visit the New York Yankees Monday night, 4) The Raptors close the regular season with a loss at New York and will open the playoffs against the 76ers in Round 1 (Shaq predicts a Philly sweep), 5) Sunday NHL leftovers, and 6A) NFL Radio Gil Brandt’s controversial comments on the passing of Steelers QB Dwayne Haskins, 6B) Brad Gushue takes silver at the World Mens and criticizes the ice in Las Vegas and 6C) The Rush pull off a huge win over Vancouver.
  • Moose Dupont is spending the week in Hawaii but joined the show for a segment in Hour 1 saying it’s no problem that Tiger Woods only wants to play in big tournaments for now. Tiger’s earned it. The guys also talked more about the Rush’s victory for co-coach Jimmy Quinlan and all the other sports topics.
  • Calgary Roughnecks & Stampeders digital reporter Riley Pollock popped by Grey Eagle in Hour 2. The longtime host & producer at Fan 960 Calgary sports radio discussed the crazy criticism of Auston Matthews’ 50 in 50, Flames Fever, and the Montreal Canadiens rebuild. “Busta Riles” also discussed the outlook for the Roughnecks who are facing a “win and they’re in” scenario in the NLL playoffs.
  • The daily Capital Auto Mall/Universal Collision Centre poll question was: Will the Blue Jays win the World Series in 2022? At press time over 70% of respondents said no.
  • Friday’s Rockstar of the Day for RoxDar Supply Chain Solutions was Montreal Alouettes reporter Joey Alfieri. Monday’s was Lee Genier.
