FOOTBALL RUNDOWN: ABOU RETURNS, AND COACH REINEBOLD!

Fridays are reserved for the gridiron and we had Ball For All on Episode #786 of The RP Show – Daytime Sports & Entertainment Talk – on Game+ TV! Here’s the rundown:

  • RP and Moose Dupont opened with The Warmup covering these Quick Six show topics: 1) Montreal trounces Saskatchewan 37-13 to open Week 3, 2) Bo Levi Mitchell is a Game Time Decision for Calgary on Saturday versus Edmonton, 3) Hamilton’s at Winnipeg on Friday Night Football, 4) Shawinigan downs Hamilton 3-2 at the Memmer, 5) Game 5 of the Stanley Cup goes Friday night in Denver between the Avalanche and Lightning, and 6) The Blue Jays open a weekend set at Milwaukee.
  • The guys went deep with viewers on the Alouettes/Roughriders game and the play of Rider QB Cody Fajardo was much-debated. RP figures the Riders are a good team who played a bad game.
  • Veteran CFL coach Jeff Reinebold joined the show for his regular Friday spot from Hawaii and dropped truth bombs. Reinebold feels the Riders won’t be in the Grey Cup if they don’t get their penalties cleaned up, and said Simoni Lawrence has been non-existent in Hamilton’s first two games. The coach also feels Bo Levi Mitchell is still suffering from severe injuries which have been adding up. And while Reinebold has been linked to the new Major League Football venture which is scheduled to kickoff in the fall, he said nothing’s set in stone.
  • 10-year CFL veteran lineman and Grey Cup champion Mike Abou-Mechrek joined the show live at Grey Eagle Resort & Casino in Calgary and spent the entire Hour 2 discussing all CFL-related topics. He feels the Riders are in a dire situation with a very green interior of the offensive line.
  • Thursday’s Rockstar of the Day for RoxDar Supply Chain Solutions was Matt Kellett. Friday’s was Abou!
  • NEW: If you missed the show you can catch the replay at 10 pm PT/11 pm MT on Game+ TV or on our YouTube Channel.
  • See you Monday at 12 pm ET on Game+ TV, YouTube Live and RodPedersen.com/ListenLive!
