We covered as many levels of football as we could fit in on Friday’s Episode #905 of The RP Show – Canada’s Daytime Sports Talkshow – on YouTube Live and WQEE Radio! Here’s the rundown:

  • RP and Moose Dupont kicked it all off with The Warmup covering these Quick Six show topics: 1) Thursday’s NHL leftovers, recapping all 12 games, 2) Bowl season kicks off on Friday with the Bahamas Bowl and Cure Bowl!, 3) The RP Show will be broadcasting live from Tuesday’s RoofClaim.com Boca Raton Bowl, 4) A look at the biggest NFL Week 15 games including Dolphins/Bills, Falcons/Saints, Bengals/Bucs and Cowboys/Jaguars, 5) CFL notes including more on the Riders & Cody Fajardo, and 6) It’s Week 3 in the NLL and Friday’s games feature Calgary at Vancouver and Panther City at Las Vegas.
  • Sports Illustrated Dolphins writer Alain Poupart joined the show from Miami to preview the Dolphins & Bills and sparred with Rod over the Dolphins season. Poupart said this is the toughest stretch of the Dolphins season, playing their third straight on the road. He broke down all the one-on-one match-ups and discussed the Bet Regal line of Bills by 7. Poupart said it would be a shame if the Dolphins missed the playoffs given the strides they’ve made under first-year head coach Mike McDaniel.
  • In Hour 2 we were joined by 3DownNation CFL Insider Justin Dunk. He said he’s excited about Bowl Season and said 3Down will have plenty of coverage of all the Canadians in NCAA Bowl games. Dunk also did his best to explain Riders Offensive Coordinator Kelly Jeffrey’s comments about Cody Fajardo. He feels Jeffrey wasn’t alluding to whether the Riders will re-sign Fajardo or not, but that he feels Fajardo can be a very solid quarterback in the right offense. Dunk also explained why it’s taking the Montreal Alouettes so long to name a head coach.
  • The daily Capital Auto Mall/Universal Collision Centre poll question was: Are you excited about Bowl Season? At press time, 60% of respondents said no.
  • Thursday’s Rockstar of the Day was Jim Lang. Friday’s was Justin Dunk!
  • Have a great weekend and we’ll see you Monday at 12 pm ET on Game+ TV, YouTube Live and WQEE Radio.
