RedBlacks Extend Dyce

The Ottawa Redblacks have signed head coach Bob Dyce to a contract extension through the 2026 CFL season, the team announced Thursday.
Dyce, 59, of Winnipeg, begins his third full season on Ottawa’s sideline. The Redblacks (9-8-1) finished third in the East Division last season to make the CFL playoffs for the first time in six years.
Under Dyce, Ottawa posted a franchise-best 7-1-1 home record in 2024.
“It just shows the belief that, obviously, Shawn (general manager Shawn Burke), the ownership and the players have with what we’re building here,” Dyce said. “We’ve put a lot of work into that and we’re excited to see where we’re going to go.
“We’re excited to take the next step next season and finish our ultimate goal. We’ll work hard every day to bring the Grey Cup back here to Ottawa.”
Overall, Dyce has a 14-25-1 record with Ottawa. He was named the Redblacks’ interim head coach late in 2022 before becoming the full-time head coach shortly after that season.
Dyce originally joined the Redblacks in 2016 as their special-teams co-ordinator.
He has won Grey Cups as an assistant with Ottawa (2016) and Saskatchewan (2013).

They have everything they need, and he’s so secure he brings in Rick Campbell. It’s good to see that… Read more »
