Monday Commentary: Price Is Wrong

(Listen daily for the RP Commentary on the All New Hits 98)
Coming out of the weekend, here’s hoping it was a good one for you! Some thoughts:
- We’re headed into the final week of the regular season of the Western Canadian Baseball League. My Moose Jaw Millers lost at home to the Saskatoon Berries on Sunday before another sellout crowd at Ross Wells Park but clinched a playoff berth thanks to Weyburn’s loss at Regina. It’s all setting up for a first round playoff clash between the Berries and Millers and although we beat ‘em last year in the East Final, it’s looking to be tougher this time around. We shall see!
- The Roughriders have the best team in the CFL. They’re 6-1 now after taking care of Edmonton 21-18 Friday at Mosaic Stadium now visit Montreal this Saturday. Despite the good news, I’ve seen people squabbling over the early season struggles of kicker Brett Lauther, and all the empty seats in the upper deck. Not taking the bait.
- Other CFL thoughts are that we had another classic finish in Hamilton’s win at BC at Sunday with highlight reel plays and TSN’s Luke Willson continues to kick hornets nests and get into Twitter wars. Fun fodder for the RP Show today!
- Sunday night I tied into Happy Gilmore 2 on Netflix and watched about half of it. It’s clear it’s going to be great with hilarious cameos from golfing greats like John Daley. Believe it or not, it’s not a deep plot. Happy needs money and plans a comeback to the pro tour. Hilarity ensues.
- And I’ll be headed to Calgary later today for two live RP Shows this week and will be joined by our NHL buddies on Game+ TV. It’s called, “Take An Alberta Break”.
You can bet I won’t be taking a single moment for granted.
